Dear Sherwood Families, 

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year!

I hope this summer has given you a chance to slow down, recharge, and make some special memories with your loved ones. For our family, it seems we’ve started a new tradition - another trip to Curaçao! That’s right, we had so much fun last year, we decided to go back again! Watching Ainsley (almost 7) and Greyson (newly 9) navigate their way around the island and collecting passport stamps made the experience even more exciting the second time around.  This year, we went rock climbing and the kids LOVED it!  When we weren’t traveling, we spent our days enjoying the simple joys of summer - bagels on the beach, late-night s’mores, our annual peach picking adventure out east, and we attended our first Polo match at Bethpage’s “Polo in the Park”! 

As we head into this new school year, I’m reminded of how quickly time moves and how important these moments are, both at home and at school. As a parent, I know what it feels like to send your child off each day, hoping they’re safe, happy, learning, and surrounded by people who truly care about them. I want you to know that here at Sherwood, your children will always be treated with the same love, care, and high expectations I want for my own.

The partnership between home and school is something I deeply value. Please know I’m always just a phone call or email away if you have questions, concerns, or simply want to connect. While we will continue using ParentSquare and email for regular communication, sometimes a quick chat on the phone is the best way to stay connected. 

Enjoy these last days of summer. I’m so excited to welcome you and your children back for what I know will be another wonderful year together.
